New Rescheduled Event Details: Sunday, June 6 at 9:30 am.

In honor of Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month, join Bayou Land Conservancy (BLC) as we host a Stop Asian Hate Trail walk on the Spring Creek Nature Trail on Sunday, June 6 at 9:30 am.

BLC recently formed the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Access (DEI&A) committee in response to the community need for safe and welcoming outdoor spaces. The coronavirus pandemic highlighted the importance of equitable access to the outdoors, and the Spring Creek Nature Trail saw unprecedented use in 2020 which has continued into 2021. The committee is dedicated to making BLC’s work welcoming and accessible to all identities by elevating Indigenous perspectives and strategically building relationships with diverse communities and organizations.
Attendees should wear appropriate clothing including waterproof shoes or boots. Bring your own water in reusable bottle, sunscreen, and a snack.
BLC remains committed to the safety and well-being of everyone during these trying times and therefore will continue to adhere to the CDC guidelines regarding the Covid-19 pandemic, please click HERE for our coronavirus updates. We ask that all participants wear a face mask when unable to practice 6-feet social distancing. Thank you for helping us keep everyone safe!
