Bayou Land Conservancy is proud to partner with area environmental organizations on the Headwaters to Baywaters Initiative. The goal of the Headwaters to Baywaters initiative is to ensure healthy lands, healthy waters, and healthy communities for the greater Houston region. By working together, we can have a larger positive impact on the people and wildlife in our region!
 

The initiative works together to increase the protection of land, specifically riparian habitat along our waterways. Headwaters to Baywaters follows the water and includes the places where freshwater first collects through creeks, streams, and bayous, to Galveston Bay.  This effort crosses several city and county boundaries.

In addition to BLC, The Headwaters to Baywaters Initiative includes Buffalo Bayou Partnership, Galveston Bay Foundation, Houston Audubon Society, and Katy Prairie Conservancy.
