Community Conservation Intern

 

Funded by the ExxonMobil Foundation Community Summer Jobs Program, the Community Conservation Intern  will assist the Community Conservation Manager, Land Stewardship Manager and other staff in volunteer and community programing, trail maintenance, and other initiatives.  This position will gain a variety of experiences and skills that are pertinent to land conservation, stewardship, environmental education, and community engagement.

This is an 8-week, paid internship for currently enrolled undergraduate students who will return to college full-time (minimum of 12 credits per semester) as a sophomore, junior, or senior in the fall of 2023.

Since 1996 Bayou Land Conservancy (BLC) has been at the forefront of land conservation in the Houston region. We envision a protected network of green spaces that connect people to nature. If you are interested in helping us advance our mission to preserve land in the Lake Houston watershed, and protect the area that provides drinking water for 85% of those living in the Houston area, you may be a good fit for our board of directors.
